On Sunday I travelled with the Archway Project, for two hours, to the Chiltern Hills Enduro, Lanes-End to do an Enduro. I was really nervous because it was my first race, but I was excited at the same time.
At the beginning of the race I thought I was going to get lost and do really bad. I was quite nervous because I was one of the smallest there, the only girl and I was up agaist fully-grown men. I didn’t know what to expect.
The race started and I was about half way round the lap and I tried to take a novice route which are easier to ride but I ended up getting lost and having to take the harder one. I made it!
After two hours of riding we stopped for an hour break, lunch. I had some pasta and an energy drink to give me some more energy. The first half of the race went quite well and I was starting to get use to the trees that kept hitting me.
After fours hours I finished the race, I completed a very respectable six laps and was really pleased. Not bad for my first Enduro. I was shattered, and couldn’t wait to get home and sleep.
